Okay, the hype and hoopla re. the "Grand Compromise" is over, for now.

May I suggest that, as an option to be considered, we review history and a successful program from the days of yore. Specifically, President Dwight Eisenhower, who faced a similar illegal immigration problem and decided to solve it (unique in today's political climate, I know). Follow the link below, and read the references cited therein.

In our 'politically correct" society we'll have to change the program name, but the application would certainly work again.

Now that this bill has been voted dead I am less focused on this government. I believe this government is not for any human endevours except to please the big money that runs them. This includes the President.

I have long thought and worked with immagrant people. I have seen their plights and frustrations. They were not illegal. I have a REAL prblems with illegal immigration, im sorry. No group of people should have the power that these people have. The only reason they have it is becuase this screwed up governmnet has given it to them. They WANT them to have it.
They want to them to over run all the minorities and the middle class in whole.
This governmnet wants cheap damn labor and the laws to go with it. Who the hell does not understand what is going on. Wake up, all of you, including you who are illegal in this country. You will NEVER get amnesty because this has been TRIED AND FAILED. You will just work here as an underclass and in fear of deportation. Now that this governmnet has "failed" you, the states will start inacting thier reforms in answer to this invasion of innocent and guilty alike. This is why this bill was wanted, ask any senator. They did not want the chaos that will surely come to follow now that this bill is DEAD. Gather your loved ones, your friends and your thoughts. You will need much courage becuase you are now for at least the next two years an underclass in a country that does not care.

Now I just roll my eyes every time I hear they are going to fix the border problem.

There is much money and many political careers to be made from leaving everything the way it is: a complete mess… or a corporate wet dream for Boeing and the other commercial defense contractors.

At least you’re keeping it real. Thanks.
