The desperation that Latin Americans feel to cross the U. S. border illegally is strong. This story shows that it's simply the desire to be with family. I've heard many horror stories about what happened to Central American women who have tried to make it through Mexico and were caught by the Mexican Immigration or Mexican Customs officers.
