I really like the way you approach your writing, you get it out there, always leaving the fact that in order to be on top of things, you can’t always be 100% sure of the facts given. But from you, we do get the facts as known. In my job I have been giving clients your website, so many from Mexico, or families in Mexico who really didn’t realize that the violence in Mexico is not ‘the same as always’. So many in the US believe since it is not everywhere in the news, it must be being overplayed. Its taking a while, but word is getting out. It needs to get out, ignorance is not always bliss. So please Michael, keep it up. I know what you are up against, and thats what makes your column so necessary.

i’ve followed your writings for a while now michael,x me this has always been a site to get facts or near them, i live in central mexico but keep up with info from border north and south,a lot of people down here like me are in a very dire situation,we worry about our kids and the way the narco(zetasfamilia)controls everything down here,we just don’t see an and in sight,of course i wish U.S would just invade mexico and help us,however i know that’s not posible,keep up exposing what’s really going on on the border,i have no doubt it will help in the long run mexicans like us

Can I sugguest that all those living in Mexico going through this lawlessness and having to live in fear, if you have access to a computer, email CNN, the most likely to listen on the big networks. You can do it anonymously and still possibly get more intervention. Invade may be a sensitive word for the US as we are running into such problems in the middle east. But without a doubt with Mexico’s o.k. the US needs to intervene. What effects Mexico , effects us.We can build walls forever, but that is a fake sense of security. We (I feel) need to find a way to make Mexico a partner more like Canada. Where people dont have to ‘sneak’ in, they are simply treated like people and not animals. To do this, alot of the border problems have to be addressed. But building expensive fences, treating Mexico like it is a zoo, is NOT the answer.
