Thought the section about Peñasco was great...and funny...wish I had been so witty! I'm always amazed at the hysteria (lies) the media creates about Rocky Point and the people that actually believe it. Has anyone lived in downtown Los Angeles?...born and raised in California and 14 year full-time resident of Rocky Point, Mexico...I'm safer here.

For what it is worth, was recently in the Yucatan, lots of military; but the word was that the Cartels were in agreement to leave areas of tourism alone, going so far as to 'ensure it' for they too want all this to go away. So a tourist area is as safe as any other country.
