THE BORDER REPORT

Search and rescue teams have been out in the field since late last night looking for a five-year-old girl who was crossing into Arizona with her father when the group separated. U.S. Border Patrol agents and Cochise and Maricopa county search and rescue teams were brought in after Border Patrol agents encountered a large group of illegal migrants that scattered into the mountains. Agents recaptured nine of the migrants, and that's when a father told them he'd lost his daughter "He believed the coyote had taken her but that turned out not being the case," said Cochise County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carol Capas. More than 100 federal and county searchers are combing a one-square mile area looking for the five year old, she said.
