THE BORDER REPORT

You've probably already seen this off the wire, but if you haven't, a brother of the family that controls the Arizona border at Nogales, the Beltrán Leyva family, was arrested earlier today in Culiacán, Sinaloa.

Mexican special forces paratroopers captured Alfredo Beltrán Leyva in the city this morning. El Debate newspaper in Culiacán is reporting that he went peacefully.

This arrest will have a significant change in the dynamics of the narco families in Sonora and Sinaloa.

Beltrán Leyva is one of five brothers controlling the Arizona Sonora region. There's more to tell, I'll be updating later tonight.
