New Fight Springs Up

THE BORDER REPORT
As far as wrap-jobs go, this has to be the most thorough one yet, the killers left the dead wrapped head to toe, like mummies.
A new fight for control of the Nogales, Sonora, plaza's sprung up in the past week, more of that reacomodo that's taken over most of the quieter border cities since the start of the year.
This time, those in the know say, it's the Cananean, El Dos Mil, pitched against the Sinaloan Federation's man in Nogales, El Gigio, Felipe deJesus Casinales Soza. Casinales was put in place earlier this year after Alfredo Beltrán Leyva was arrested in Culiacán.
Last week, Dos Mil went after his people, kidnapping five in downtown Nogales by the Greco plaza. Two bodies were found the next morning, a message attached, signed by the "New Zetas," who've taken the name, Ecstasy, of all things (apparently we're running out of names).
"This message is for you Gigio, and everyone working with you. We will break anybody who wants to fight with the Zetas."
Good times.
Now I seriously doubt the original Gulf Cartel assassins are behind any of this. Everybody wants to be a Zeta these days, and like al-Qaeda, the brand's been diluted by mediocrity.
Don't know yet whether the five people kidnapped in Cananea the same day this hit took place were a retaliation or not.
Bottle of Bacanora to the first person to tell me what the mummy-job means (and no Googling).
